Three Weeks Since the Floods
Since the horrendous flooding three weeks ago, that has temporarily closed Stone Mountain Lodge, that has devastated the surrounding mountain communities and that has displaced 14 of our events, the owners of Stone Mountain Lodge and our GM, Carrie have been very busy. In addition to serving our displaced guests as best we can, we are also dealing with banks, insurance agencies, utility companies, government agencies, military checkpoints, staff, social media and keeping tabs on what is occurring at and near the Stone Mountain property and in the town of Lyons.
Trying to follow our ambitious schedule posted on Facebook, Stone Mountain Lodge has begun refunding lodging and wedding package deposits for displaced events according to the order of the event date. As this is a cumbersome and exacting process, please be patient with us as we try to accurately get the funds to the right parties.
The last few weeks have been the roughest time ever experienced for Stone Mountain Lodge and this period is among the most difficult experienced in our lives personally. We are trying hard to balance all that needs to be handled.
We greatly appreciate all the prayers and well wishes for our recovery and our future. We greatly appreciate the donations to our recovery, no matter how small.
