Primary Duty is to run the Stone Mountain Lodge office, do
daily property maintenance functions, and oversee housekeepers.
Needed:
through Oct 1, possibly through winter
Hours: About
20 to 40 hours per week (varies with season)
Must
be able to work at least 2 weekday evening shifts ending at 9:00pm during the
season
Requirements:
- Strong interpersonal skills and professional
appearance
- Good Written, Phone, and Verbal Communication
Skills
- Some Computer Literacy
- High degree of organization and resourcefulness
- Some Management Experience a plus
- Must be able to work weekends as needed
- 3 solid references
Essential Responsibilities:
- Answer the lodge phone and check both message
lines. It is of the utmost importance that the lodge phone be answered
promptly at all times.
- Make reservations, check in and check out
lodging guests
- Provide helpful accurate information to callers
with lodging inquiries
- Always be knowledgeable of the current rate
information sheets
- Take the name and number of anyone offering marketing
or selling products
- Accept lodging deposits and payments
- Accept deliveries and support vending deliveries
- Do daily water readings
- Feed the ducks daily
- Open/Close the pool daily and do daily pool readings
- Walk the property and see that everything is in order.
No trash, cigarette butts, etc. Delegate housekeepers to grounds pick-up if
needed
- Manage housekeeping and make sure all missing and
broken items and fixtures, or damaged to the unit, is reported and logged.
- Help guests as needed - give extra towels, pillows,
room supplies
- Offer dining and touring recommendations
- Make bank deposits
- Keep a running list of needed supplies – one list in
the office
- Keep a running list of non-critical repairs – one list
in the office
- Call Handyman for any critical repairs - a critical
repair is one that keeps a unit from rental
- Call appropriate service people for any emergencies
Event Support
- Refer wedding
inquiries to the Event Coordinator
- Cooperate with Event Coordinator and event staff
as needed
- Enter event information received from Event
Coordinator
- At times the Manager on Duty may be asked to
help with event duties
- Open the reception tent for limited entry
- If the Event
Coordinator can not make an appointment or if a prospect arrives without an
appointment, then the Manager On Duty will conduct a minimal tour
Additional Duties
- May be responsible for the Stone Mountain
emergency phone at times.
- Other duties that may arise
