Job Opportunities: Event Helper

This is an added responsibility for a Housekeeper position. See Housekeepers for primary responsibilities.

An Event Helper aids the Event Coordinator or Assistant Event Coordinator with specific tasks to support events. An Event Helper is a Housekeeper that has the added responsibility to aid in specific event oriented tasks outside of regular housekeeping hours. Event Helper hours are after the regular housekeeping shift (after 5pm) and will be paid at 1.5 their regular hourly rate.

Needed:   May 1 through Oct 1

Hours:      About 3 to 9 hours per week (varies)

                  Hours will be after 5pm

Requirements:

  •  Must be able to work weekend shifts
  •  Must be able to work late nights, sometime from 11:00pm to 1:00am

Duties include, but may not be limited to the following:

  •  Assisting in moving and setting up chairs for ceremonies
  •  Assisting in moving chairs from ceremony area to reception tent, or storing chairs after a ceremony.
  •  Assisting in event clean up at the end of an event.
  •  Assisting in setting up tables and chairs for the next event.
  •  Help directing parking as needed
  •  Other tasks as directed by the Event Coordinator or Assistant Event Coordinator
